So after six weeks and fifty five portraits (if my calculations are correct), I have finished photographing everyone who works at Hose Rhodes Dickson. They are the Isle of Wight's largest independently owned estate agents. From Newport to Freshwater, Bembridge to Brading, the job took me to all four corners of the island and to all eight of their branches, including their Auction Rooms. Lots of travelling and lots of work to do! I did feel a bit like the barer of bad news every time I arrived as it's most peoples idea of hell to have their photo taken, but we all go there in the end. The photos will be used for the Hose Rhodes Dickson website and I am sure other marketing. So if you need business portraits done, it's fair to say with this job and past commissions that were business portraits, I have experience and should be able to help.
Love and stuff xo.

It has been a very very long time since I did a location family shoot, I have to say I prefer them most of the time to studio ones. It's so much easier to capture genuine reactions and expressions because the shoot itself seems so much more organic from both the perspective of the client and for me. On Sunday we went on a walk that is well known to the family, along the cliffs to Freshwater Bay, absolutely beautiful scenery, and it is quite possibly the windiest photo shoot I have ever done. (I'm trying to grow my hair for the first time in about a decade, and I forgot how crazy hair can get in high winds!) The shoot itself was a Christmas gift to the family, and vouchers are always available to purchase for a gift at any time. I used my 5D mkIII and 50 prime for the entire shoot, no flash or any other extra equipment, nice and simple! I'm really happy with this set and I hope you like them too!

1. "Online Shopping" (Wednesday) 2. "Small Crime" (Saturday) 3. "Skate Shoes" (Friday) 4. "Turning back time" (Sunday) 5. "A mountain of paperwork" (Tuesday) 6. "Running Time" (Monday) 7. "iBand" (Thursday) Yay! I always love doing Little People Week! I pick a week (usually about 2 months after the last Little People Week) and every day that week I upload a band new Little People Photo to my Facebook page. Leading up to last weeks LPW, I was feeling really quite down and cruddy about my work in general. I decided to get off my butt and make some new work, including with these little guys. I always get great feedback and it always surprises me how far the photos reach, when I get talking to people outside the intewebs and when they say that they love my Little People photos and they have been following LPW. Thank you to everyone who did that and said lovely things and liked the photos! |
