Charlotte & Phil's Summer Wedding at East Afton Farmhouse

On one of the most ridiculously scorching summer days of last year, I shot a really beautiful and chilled wedding day.

​Charlotte & Phil, who run the fabulous Clippers Catering, got married at East Afton Farmhouse, which is a venue I had been to a couple of times, but had never shot a wedding at until then, and it was such a great first wedding to shoot there (hopefully the first of many)! 

Bay Tree Florist were responsible for the truly gorgeous bouquets, and all the other flower creations throughout the day, so keep your eyes peeled!

There was such a lovely buzzing fun atmosphere all morning when everyone was getting ready, with the help of Jo Lofthouse of Isle of Wight Make Up & Face Paint and Daniella's Hairdressing, who were fabulous as always!

Phil's mum made the beautiful cheese cake, like a cake made of cheese not a cheesecake! Also the ladies at Proper Vintage did a really beautiful table plan.

Instead of a more traditional toast, everyone drank a gin and tonic to honour Charlotte's Nan - a little personal touch I absolutely loved!

As a huge food lover, I loved getting a front row seat to what was going down in the kitchen, and yes the dinner was bloody delicious...

What could be more perfect on a hot AF day than an icecream truck?! So we had time for a cheeky ice cream before the newlyweds and I went off for some couples portraits...

I have to say the sunset that night was absolutely beautiful, and it felt slightly more like we were in a tropical climite than an island just off the south coast of England. 

The evenings antics where helped along by of course by Clippers Catering, Whitby Scampi and the fabulous live band The Rockafellas (who helped me find one of my lenses at the end of the night, LOL cheers lads!) 

Wonderful and beautiful weddings like this, with the nicest people (not only the bride and groom, but every single person I spoke to) who just want to get married, eat, drink, chill out, dance and have a great day, makes me love my job soooo much.
