A recurring question I've been getting in the past few weeks, is do you take product photos? The short answer is Yes. I wouldn't say it's part of my usual workload or a USP of mine, but at the end of October I did spend two and a half days in the studio and nearly a week editing one hundred and twenty six product photos for the Style of Wight Christmas gift guide. The items varied between Jewellery, Bags, Perfume, Scarfs, Gloves, Hats, gift sets, handmade items and artworks, children's toys, things for the kitchen, knickers, the list goes on and on! I've put a selection of images at the bottom of this blog post for you to have a butchers at some of the work I did. As hard a job it was due to the amount of items I had to photograph and the short timeline I had to do it all in, I have to say it is still very satisfying to see your work in print and it always puts a smile on my face. In other but related news, I have been so busy with photography work this month! I honestly can't remember being so busy before, and I've freaking loved it! It has quieted down in the past week or so which has been good too to be honest. For a while I've been struggling to switch my brain off and actually take breaks and have days off (the joy's of working from home and being a sole trader!) but I think I might have run myself raged, so I was quite glad after practically working for four weeks straight, to have some down time. I managed to read for the first time in an age which was lovely! It's something I enjoy doing so much and I don't do nearly enough anymore (If you're wondering what I've been reading, I finally got round to reading "Maus" and I think I might read "We need to talk about Kevin" next.) I'm sorry if this blog entry is random, all over the place and potentially not very cohesive. I really wanted to show off what I had done as soon as the magazine came out as I couldn't before then. I'll say sayonara for now, but I have a few things coming up for the blog that I'm really excited about, awww yeah! Love & Stuff xo.
