Wanna see a really cute, music and science themed winter wedding? DONE! Not long after Christmas last year, Kelly & Tom got married at The Quay Arts. I'd never shot a wedding there before and was really looking forward to shooting at a venue, particularly one I've been to many times over the years. The room was decorated with the help of Personalize, with some beautiful personal touches celebrating the couples different passions. There was also a really cute desert table and a gorgeous wedding cake by the ever fabulous Frostbite Bakery. Kelly's make up was by Jo Lofthouse: Isle of Wight Make Up & Face Paint, wedding dress was from Monsoon, her veil was Karen Dornellie and the flowers were Doris Pinks, what a gorgeous combo! There was a great exhibition on at the time, celebrating Punks, who wouldn't want to take couples portraits in there?! While we went for couples portraits, my second shooter Lana Jones was in the cinema with the rest of the guests, watching a film Kelly and Tom had made for their guests. They were greeted by popcorn and sweets and I think it was such a lovely personal touch which kept their guests entertained while we scuttled off for photos... Kelly and Tom's wedding had such a lovely warm intimate feel about it. No one was rushing around, everyone was having a great time and maybe it's because the Christmas decorations were also around the venue, it made you feel so cosy. This was such a cute, beautiful laid back wedding that I loved photographing! Thank you both for asking Lana and I for being a part of it! Holly
