Lauren & Jonny's Real Proposal at Shanklin Chine

Who doesn't love it when a lovely chap contacts a photographer, pretending to his girlfriend that he's just booking a maternity shoot for them both, but secretly he's also planning to propose to her? 

Oh and spoiler alert: She said yes! 💍

Lauren & Jonny were expecting their first baby, and had been together for 10 years and decided to celebrate by having a getaway to the Isle of Wight!

I've done some surprise real proposals before, and I always get so nervous for the proposer. A quick shout out to Jonny & Lauren for letting me sit down for a few minutes afterwards because my legs were shaking so much with the nerves and adrenaline, HAHA! To be fair I think we all needed to catch our breathes.

Thankfully we managed to have a couple of hours gap in the drizzly weather that day, and quite a few people at the chine gave Lauren & Jonny well wishes and congratulated them.  A lovely older couple even stopped for a bit for a chin wag (so sorry I can't remember your names!) but I absolutely love random kind words and chats with people out and about. There can be so much negativity we have about each other, and little things like that make you remember how great people are.
