Vickie & Richie's Wedding at San Pietro, Scunthorpe

Originally Vickie & Richie planned to get married on the Isle of Wight, and in fact their engagement shoot was the last photo shoot I did before covid and lockdowns hit us back in March 2020, that feel so long ago now.

Vickie & Richie took me along with their two great kids Reese & Rhian, to the field where their wedding reception was initially intended to take place. It's the windiest coldest engagement shoot I’ve done so far, and I think we all wish we’d worn an extra layer!

So a whopping 16 months later and with plans changed from a field on the Isle of Wight to a new venue over 5 hours away, off I went to Scunthorpe and to San Pietro to photograph their wedding instead!

Vickie’s Mum made her wedding dress and Rhian's dress, and Richie (who is a fantastic chef) made their cake! 😁There was a really beautiful moment during and after the ceremony when their daughter Rhian got so overwhelmed she cried tears of happiness, which of course set everyone else off too. Another great moment was when Vickie was surprised with a birthday cake and a chorus of "Happy Birthday" from everyone.

This was a truly lovely day that I feel so honoured to be a part of and invited to travel over 200 miles to get to - Thank you both so much for everything!
